Day 7 - I Don't Need No Medication....

My rant for today....microwaves.

Now, you'd think I would have nothing to say about them. However, REALLY??!?!?! What the hell!?!? When I place my food into the gullet of this thing and press a few buttons I EXPECT it to deliver my food hot and ready to eat. However, when does the thing EVER get it right??? With the exception of popcorn, the microwaves I have encountered only do a half-ass job of heating my food.

For example. Yesterday I placed a ham and cheese Hot Pocket inside. I pressed the allotted 60 seconds and waited. Once I retrieved my small delicious morsel I sat down to devour it. Only to find out, that one chunk was scalding hot and yet the section right next to it.....was still FROZEN. I mean....REALLY? How can the section RIGHT NEXT to it still be FROZEN! Needless to say, microwaves screwing up isn't in the directions so I had to place my food back into the microwave and wait some more before finally having a thawed product, and even then there were some spots that could have been considered somewhat chilly. WTF??

And cleaning. Don't get me started. Unless you have an older model that doesn't have one of those rotating trays, you are essentially.....fucked. Say you food explodes in the thing and so then you have to clean it out. Well you have to take out the tray, and try not to drop it, then you have to take a rag and wipe out the interior, well this proves to be a chore because sometimes food and such gets stuck to the CEILING of the thing. Yummy, I know. And after you go through ALL that, you still don't have your food. WTH???

Fin.

Day 6 - Musings

So I was cleaning my car today, and as I sorted through all the stuff that was in my car, I realized you can tell a lot about a person by the state of and what is in their car. Like my car for instance...has popcans, candy, art supplies, a keyboard, books, subway wrappers, and hair bands scattered throughout.

But what if you were to look at someone elses car? What would you be able to tell from the things inside? Are they neurotic? Do they like pop? What kind of pop? Do they drink the whole thing or is there some left inside? Do they go to school? What are they studying? Do they have kids? What do their kids like? What restaurants do they go to? Do they have decorations? If so, what kind?

All these questions can come to mind just by looking in the backseat of someone's car. Kinda makes me want to keep my car clean from now on.

Day 5 - The Meaning of Salad

So here I sit and I'm munching on this bowl of salad feeling incredibly like a rabbit while wondering just exactly how I'm going to get my project done for class. It's due Monday. I haven't even started. Oops! When I started thinking about the meaning of salad.....

Who came up with the idea for salad? Who thought of the name salad? What constitutes a salad vs. a pile of weeds? Is it the croƻtons? Or maybe the dressing? Is the only difference between all of the salad bags you see in the store, the amount of greenery inserted in the bag?

Peace out Salad Eaters!

Day 4.1 - It's Been Awhile

It's been awhile. Yes.

Have I been busy? Yes.

Do you readers really care? No.

However, life isn't all about blogging and investing time into the meaningless pixals that dictate our time and efforts. Time is also taken up bu life, work, school, and the persuit of bagels in their natural environment. (Something very difficult, let me assure you....)

So! It's a new year, a new time, and most definatly not a new place. Let's begin again shall we?

Day 3.1 - Sculpture

At first it was easy and we made a metal sculpture....and I enjoyed it. I made a Penguin/Crab concoction and was amazed at my ability to wield lasers, MIG Welders, and Angle Grinders. I ended up finishing that piece on time and received an A for my efforts. I was thoroughly pleased with this outcome as I think that this sculpture is the shit. It's called The Essence of Crabness and he is amazing. Here is a picture!

Now as you can see, my little Pengucrab up there is pretty stylish! However...NOW we have moved on to making clay self portraits....and I....HATE....clay. However, my self portrait has been looking pretty good so far...I just am really rather afraid that it will be destroyed when it is fired in the kiln. I hope not because I'm proud of it. Wanna see? Of COURSE you do....HERE is the progression!

It's amazing.....at least I think it is!

Day 2.3 - Song of the Day

Angel In The Night (Radio Edit) - Basshunter

The song for today is Angel in the Night by Basshunter. It is one of my favorite songs and happens to be the first song that Skylar said would be my song from him. I always get butterflies when I hear it anymore because of that! Give it a listen!

This is a pretty awesome surreal photo taken by ahermin from DeviantArt.com entitled Last Drop. It's very beautiful and utilizes light and depth of field to create a really awesome photo. Please take the time to see the original....Leave Him Some Love!
